Your Neighbors Might Think You're Crazy

I'm not the first person to say this, but it's so true. "The weekends are too short." le sigh.

Here's what you might have missed over the weekend:
- Mediterranean Month + the new Disney Marathon course
- 5 questions with Cait Plus Ate
- The Avengers

Saturday we returned to the Farmer's Market to pick up some fresh produce and cheese.  The cheese was for a fancy wine & cheese dinner we were making for ourselves and the produce was to offset the large amount of nutrients that weren't coming from wine or cheese.  Calcium though!
We also re-visited "muscle park". It's basically a running trail with workout equipment built in.  Pull-up bars, dip bars, beams, step-up areas.  It's awesome.  It gives such a fun and different vibe to working out.  Especially when you decided to do it a noon...in May....in Florida!

Here's our workout:
- 1/2 mile warm up jog
- Pull-ups
- Sprint
- Dips, parallel bar walk, reverse pull-ups under the dip bar
- Sprint
- Decline sit-ups
- Sprint
- Single-leg squat
- Sprint
- Push-ups
- Repeat
- Dry heave
- Repeat

Basically once we warm-up we just sprint from exercise to exercise as fast as we can. I can do about 5 pull-ups, however today I had Kyle spot me and I did 5-second negative pull-ups.  If you remember I have some torn discs in my neck and while my physical therapist says I can do pull-ups, I decided not to today.

Kyle also unleashed his inner fit beast by wearing a weighted vest.  Seriously?
Picture this conversation:
Carissa: "Let's run and do pull-ups in 90 degree heat."
Kyle: "No babe that's not hard enough."
Carissa: "Well what should you do?"
Kyle: "I'm gonna run around and do it all in a 40lb vest."

If you have a similar "exercise trail" by you feel free to give this workout a try.  It's fun.  Honestly.

If you don't we created a special at-home version just for you! It can all be done with no equipment outside your home. Yes, your neighbors will think you're crazy but you'll be way fitter than them.  And that's what really matters.

In other news this upcoming week is going to be CRAZY! I have a Food Science final and two out of town work trips. Just giving you a heads up in case one day I only post funny cat photos on the blog.  I mean...that's not bad...is it?

My goal this week is to totally clean up my diet.  My "moderation" has been getting bigger and bigger lately, so I'm trying to stay clean while traveling and such.  Wish me luck!

What's your fitness goal this week?

Love and peeping toms,
Carissa & Kyle
