It is What I Ate Wednesday. My favorite blogging day of the week and I will share with you the sad tale of diet sabotage that occurred against me today.

Stop taking blog pics! :)
My whole lunch. JK.
Hello gorgeous Pumpkin Ale. We meet at last.
A tale of 2 Carissa's.

i think it's great you allow yourself to have those days and your honest about it. so many people try to hide their "bad" eating days. But since when is induging and having a good time a "bad" day. you're living life and enjoying it and that is way more important than that number on the scale.
ReplyDeletegreat post ♥
World of Beer sounds like my heaven. That pic of you pumpkin ale looks like a starry world globe! :)
ReplyDeleteI indulge on the weekends... and then I have my long runs on Sundays. Life's no fun if you can't indulge. Why else do we go to the gym?! LOL!
Cheers to you! Looks like a great day. :)
ReplyDeleteYou have inspired me to put a couple extra sprints in my run. We'll see...this weekend maybe??
I fully understand the indulge for an evening out. I just turned 21 and it's a whole new way to socialize, never pass it up! All of your pumpkin is so festive, it is making autumn seem much to close!
ReplyDeleteHaha - it happens. I do that all the time at restaurants - you know, the "hangs head in shame" part when you totally planned to get something else.
ReplyDeleteoh yes, we have those days, but we need them for our sanity. I think that smile says it all!
ReplyDeleteCheers!
When I feel like I ate "bad" food I always tell myself that its not going to kill me and that its ok because I eat pretty healthy most of the time. :)
ReplyDeleteI think that honestly it wasn't so bad of a day. One beer (especially pumpkin!) won't hurt you and you even went on a run. Don't beat yourself up. just don't. Look at all the healthy things you did eat and the good things they did to your body. grapefruit? banana? even the pumpkin in the cupcake. ALl these probably do good things to you. Your dinner too. I'd say you're not as far off as you think you are.
ReplyDeleteI just try to do better tomorrow! I'm still learning. :)
ReplyDeleteWell that and I tell myself "It's okay, the calorie boost revved up your metabolism. You totally needed to eat that cheeseburger."
Yup. My inner-cheeseburger-lover is very sneaky.
Thanks for all the great feedback guys! It's all about moderation!
ReplyDeleteI guarentee you will never look back on your life and say " i wish i had eaten salad at my desk" or "i wish i had stayed home and not ever had beer with my husband".
ReplyDeleteYour day looks great to me! Its more important to listen to your body and eat when you're hungry than to stress over everything you eat. Plus, who can resist good curry and pumpkin ale?
ReplyDeleteI think we all have those days. I try to not dwell on them and get some good rest and love on. :)
