Peabody Orlando Wedding

I love weddings.  I love marriage. I love people in love.  Love, love, love.  I also love ducks.  It may seem that all of that doesn't go together...but it in fact does.
Kyle and I were at the Peabody hotel in Orlando on Saturday night for the wedding of my friend Lynsey.  Lynsey and I met through pageants while competing at Miss Florida USA.  Lyns is also a UCF Knight, inspiring small business owner, and the most fashionable girl I know.
When we checked in we were given a sweet gift bag with water, treats, bath bombs, and a "do not disturb" sign for our room.  Such a cute idea.
The wedding was gorgeous.  I think I could say possibly the most beautiful wedding I have ever been to.  There were rhinestones and candles everywhere with a stunning white/silver winter theme. I hope the pictures do it justice.  The ceremony was held inside one of the hotel's ballrooms.
When it came time to present the rings, the best man and matron of honor both acted like they couldn't find the rings.  As they looked on perplexed loud marching band music started playing and the doors to the ballroom swung open.  I thought for sure it was Lynsey's dog, but no...are you ready for this???  It was the world-famous Peabody ducks!!! Ah! I die!  The ducks waddled down the red carpet and brought the rings. AMAZING.
After Lyns and Chris said "I do" we headed to the Veranda room upstairs for cocktail hour.  It was a warm night in Orlando so we spent time outside around one of the fire-pits. I enjoyed Chardonnay, coconut shrimp, and a few cheese and crackers.  I also ate 1/4 of a Builders Bar.  Random, yet important fact...don't ya think?

We headed back downstairs to the ballroom for the reception.
The room was stunning.  I loved the white trees with the candles.  It looked like a wedding from TV.
The bride and groom entered and their first dance was "Feels Like Home".  Know anything special about that song? Then midway through the song they broke into a dance and the wedding party joined in.  Very fun.
It was wonderful to be at such a special day for Lyns and Chris.  I'd be lying, however if I didn't say how awesome it was to be able to see one my best friends in the whole wide world Bree.  Bree and I become friends in 6th grade and she now lives in frigid Boston.  She also did pageants with Lyns and I and was one of her bridesmaids.  Wedding + best friend = amazing time.
After dinner and cake cutting, Lyns made not 1 but 2 dress changes.  I told you the girl was glamorous. I loved this short dress.
Wedding are always fun, but they're made even better when you're surrounded by great friends.
CONGRATULATIONS TO LYNSEY AND CHRIS!

What's the most interesting thing you've ever seen at a wedding? Ducks?

Love and quackers,
Carissa & Kyle
