Best Week Ever

Do you happen to remember when VH1 did that show called "Best Week Ever"?  It was sarcastic and poked fun at celebrities.  Well, regardless of that show's intentions I would like to nominate myself for "best week ever". Is that allowed?

I'm combining my love of this week and my love of Friday AND my love of instagram in today's post.  Let's find out through the lens of instagram just why this was the BEST.WEEK.EVER.

1. Half Marathon PR
That's a no brainer.  Over 16 months of training to go sub-2 and I went 1:52:43.  That's going to be a top moment of 2013 for a good while.  I'm still soaking it in.
Official results are up online now, so I'm officially a sub-2 girl.

2. I got new shoes
Not JUST new shoes...the limited edition New Balance RunDisney 806's.
What do you think?  I'm in love and I had to go get a Minnie inspired Runningskirt and a polka dot Sweatyband.  Outfit reveal at the full marathon on Sunday.

3. My cat
She pretty much makes any day better.  She's a true mamma's girl and wanted to make sure I knew there was some free space in my cabinet.  Thank you Minnie.
4.I started my clinical internship
My journey to being a registered dietitian took a big step forward as I started my clinical internship rotation at the hospital.  No, there are no "hospital pics". I'm pretty sure that would violate heaps of HIPPA laws.  BUT the cafeteria did serve Santa's White Christmas coffee and that's a big win.

5. Awesome Readers
Thank you so much to all of our awesome readers. Your comments, tweets, and emails really mean the world to us.  Karla is a reader and fellow blogger who showed off her Fit2Flex tank (and baby bump!) at the gym this week.
Love it girl!

What happened in your world this week that was the best thing ever?

Love and broad declarations,
Carissa  & Kyle

  4. Congrats! GREAT finish time!!! What program do you go by and what do you eat pre-race? I'm currently training for my first full marathon in April and not really sure how to fuel for a race longer than 15 miles.
