My Dancing Duck

I'm usually a "Yeah Monday" kind of person.  I like to get back on track and focus on my goals and workouts.  But this Monday I wasn't feeling it.  I wanted another weekend day.  We had such a great weekend that I didn't want it to end.

I worked at Disney on Friday and Saturday announcing for the Disney Cross Country Classic.  Friday our rainy Orlando weather continued and all but one of the day's races were cancelled.
That is not usually a pond.  It's a soccer field.
Kyle and I took my early night as a sign that we needed Turkish food.  We did.  I finally got my okra saute that mother nature had denied me the night before.  I also wore colored skinny jeans.  Fact.
Saturday morning Kyle and I both went back to work, but were off my 2pm. The Disney Cross Country event was great.  The high school runners had so much run.  Look at their "wobble".
Before heading home I made a special effort to dance with Donald.  Not just any dance - Gangham style.  You're jealous.
Once home I convinced Kyle to run some HIIT sprints with me around 3pm in the 90 degree heat.  He wasn't a fan, but my 14 minutes of sprints gave me some dinner wiggle room.  We had dinner at Kyle's parents house and it was delicious.  We enjoyed chicken wings, balsamic tomatoes, onion rings, and an AMAZING totally unhealthy pumpkin bar. We also watched some great SEC football.  And let's not talk about FSU kthanxbye.

Sunday morning we slept in, I had pumpkin oatmeal, and we got in some serious workouts.  Sunday is the only day that Kyle actually takes off and won't train clients.  He deserves the day and it's really the only way he can get in a good uninterrupted workout.  Unless you could my whining about him cleaning the gym toilets as an interruption? I don't!
After the workouts we had two Greens 'n Grille salads - steak for him and salmon for her and did a little shopping.
Don't laugh but I want 2 of these zebra print chairs.  We currently have child-sized chairs in our front room and I'm over it. Darn you Ikea for your confusing displays.
Sunday night was spent with a Shock Top pumpkin beer and another heartbreaking for me football game.  Again, let's not talk about it.

Maybe it was all the agonizing football loses that left me hating on Monday, but regardless it's time to get focused.  Here's a look at our weekly "in & out" meal planning:
Maybe all I need in my Monday is a little "marvelous" so I'm linking up with Healthy Diva.
Check out all the MIMM action there.

What are you most looking forward to this week?
