Epcot's Food & Wine Festival

We had a great weekend. Super awesome.  So awesome it required a 2 hour nap on Sunday.

Friday was spent pumpkin picking and creating a wonderful party-friendly dinner (recipe to come tomorrow).
Yes, I spray painted my pumpkin.
Saturday I totally rocked my 11-mile training run and then we took our annual trip to Epcot's Food & Wine Festival.  It's definitely the party place of Walt Disney World.
Epcot's Food & Wine Festival happen for about 6 weeks every fall.  Epcot's World Showcase transforms into a mecca of "food stations" from around the world.  Each station has traditional food and drink in the form of wine or beer from that country.  Basically you walk around and eat and drink and eat and drink and create shenanigans.  Good times are had by all.

I haven't quite adapted to being a "blogger" and a "Food & Wine lover".  Translation - the pics of the food/wine are sparse. Tee hee hee.

Check out last year's Food & Wine recap for some food 411.  I'm also going again with my mom in November and I promise I'll bring my photography skills that day.
We started our day...as we always do...in Mexico.  The weather here on Saturday was gorgeous and Epcot was totally packed.  We waited in line for about 30 minutes at the Tequila Bar inside Mexico.  Crazy, yes! But it's tradition and they have the best margaritas there.
Meet my avocado margarita! I highly recommend this for your next trip to Epcot.  You can get it year round as it's not exclusive to the festival.
We also ate in Mexico.  I had the shrimp tacos and Kyle had the beef taco.  Both were favorites of the day.
Then the camera went away.  It's very, very, very hard to take pics while eating and holding a drink. Nearly impossible.  So I enjoyed the day and our great company.

At some point we decided that hat and Mickey ears were necessary.  Do you agree?  I think it was a good choice.
My only regret is that I didn't buy this Disney Duffy bear.  I have an obsession with this bear.  Maybe next time Duffy.
Food and Wine day is seriously one of my favorite days of the year. It's always a good time.
I'm going to post a list of my tips this week if you're planning a trip.

Have you been to Epcot's Food & Wine festival?  Share your tip.

Love and beers of the world,
Carissa & Kyle
