Dinner tonight was in honor of Prostate Cancer Awareness. September is prostate cancer awareness month, so take a second to tell a man you know to get a free screening. Then tell him to eat some cooked tomatoes.
Research has shown that 2 servings a week of cooked tomatoes can reduce prostate cancer risk by up to 50%.
Tonight I made homemade spicy marinara sauce and topped whole wheat pasta with the sauce and a heaping serving of mushrooms and zucchini. Take that cancer.
