What I did on my Summer Vacation

Do you ever look back on a time in your life and think, "Wow. I did all that?"
That's where I'm at right now.  I'm finished off what ended up being a whirlwind summer of travel.  I have 2 more nights in Detroit and then I think I can pack up my "travel sized liquids" for a good bit.

Since June I have gone to Denver, Australia, Mexico, California, and Detroit.  I also went to school full time and we opened our own personal training studio.  Wow.  I feel very grateful to have had all of these wonderful opportunities.

Let's take a look back, shall we?

In June I traveled to Denver with about 200 other bloggers for FHBC12 and my first blogging conference!
Early July was the Grand Opening of Kyle's dream, Evolution Fitness Orlando.  We are gym owners and psssst - our studio rocks!
Also in early July I flew the coop to Australia.  It may have taken me 42 hours to get there, but it was worth it! I petted koalas, toured the Sydney harbor, and shared my passion for fitness down under.

It wasn't all work.  I tackled a very difficult class in school and then celebrated with Kyle at an all-inclusive resort in Mexico.  Who wants to sponsor my return?
Just last week I got to travel across the country with RunDisney to announce for the DisneyLand Half Marathon.  Thanks again for all your great comments on yesterday's post about Mom's race.  She is officially registered for Wine and Dine now.
Finally, I'm currently typing from Motor City (Detroit). I'm here for training for another one of my random jobs.  If you're a long time reader you may recall that I was here in May and last September too.

I've been around the world....and it was awesome.  That being said, it has been tough keeping my eating clean and my regular workout schedule.  I've been pretty diligent with my running, however my strength sessions have suffered in intensity.  Travel can wear me out.  Diet has also been hard too.  I'm always pack lots of clean food, but the treats and lack of vegetables can add up.  I'm looking forward to a more calm schedule coming up.

Tell me: What did you do on your summer vacation?

One final thought, for Kyle's sake there needs to be one additional blog shout out to these guys:
Kyle is a HUGE Cowboys fan and I was up until midnight in my hotel room nervously watching the end of the Cowboys/Giants game.  The Cowboys won and I think Kyle is still on cloud nine.  If you follow me on Twitter, I apologize for my football craziness.  It only lasts 4 months.
Love and passport stamps,
Carissa & Kyle
