Even though it's Tuesday I wanted to share my goals for this week. If you're not sold on the "goal setting" mentality, I really encourage you to give it a try. Write down a goal just for this week. You'll be surprised how reaching little goals can chip away and help you reach big health milestones.
Last week my Monday goal was to track my meals using SparkPeople. I was great Monday - Thursday afternoon. When I go out to eat it's so much harder to track...probably because I eat more. Then part of me doesn't want to track, because I don't want to know how much I ate. I was probably 65% on my tracking goal last week.
I'm making it my goal to track my calories again this week. It DOES make me more aware of what I eat.
My new goal for this week is 2 step: 1. Eat an egg dinner. 2. Eat a vegetarian dinner. The egg dinner will help lower our food costs and the vegetarian dinner will do the same as well as cut my carbon footprint and fill our bodies with healthy nutrients.
Here's our weekly In & Out planning:
In other random news, we discovered a delicious new dinner spot - DragonFly Orlando. Kyle has oddly been drawn to "sushi" lately. We had a crazy day on Sunday with nothing going as we had planned. We scrapped plans to cook at home to spend a nice night together.
DragonFly has a sushi bar plus Asian-inspired "tapas" plates to share. Together we tried miso soup, warm spinach and mushroom salad, tuna kobachi, black & bleu sushi roll, and tempura tofu.
