WIAW - Pizza Party

Hi blog friends! Did you miss us?

We have been MIA for the past week, because we were vacationing in Mexico! For safety reasons I didn't want to disclose any info until after the trip.  I hope you all had a happy and fit week. I had a very happy, very sunny, not so fit week! :)
I'll have a couple of Mexico recap posts starting this afternoon and two new Mexican inspired workouts for you starting tomorrow!

But...today is Wednesday and that means it's What I Ate Wednesday!
Before we left for vacation, I had a little pizza party at the house. We invited over 3 other couples and each was instructed to bring the toppings to create their own pizza. I thought it would be fun to see each couple's "personal pizza style"!
Kyle and I started off the evening with a "traditional" pepperoni pizza.  I used a Pillsbury crust, homemade spicy pasta sauce, roasted bell peppers and onions, turkey pepperoni, and mozzarella.  It was a very simple pizza, but had a great taste! Hand clap for me!
Next up was Alexis and her very Italian pizza. Alexis is our friend AND a great blogger who blogs at FitPossible. She not only made a killer pizza, but brought over homemade ricotta and homemade sourdough bread to start the night. Well done foodie blogger.

Her pizza was full of high quality cheeses and homemade sauce.  It was topped with prosciutto, artichoke, spicy Pomodoro sauce, and three Italian cheeses she brought back from PA.
My friend Carissa (yes there's two of us) made the next pizza and it was amazing! She made a Thai peanut chicken pizza topped with fresh cilantro and scallions.  She is a great chef!
The last pizza of the night came from Davis & Jordin.  They are recently engaged (yeah!) and she just moved to Orlando to be closer to Davis.  If you can't tell from the pics, Davis is about 6'5" so his pizza needed some serious nutrients.  And it didn't disappoint.
They made a BBQ chicken pizza with spinach, tomato, and cheese.  I was so full my this time, but every pizza was so so good!
After the pizza we played a few friendly rounds of pictionary.  The boys team destroyed the girls.  We are better chefs, but the men are better artists.
Me drawing "mad scientist" on top vs. Carlos drawing "clogs" on the bottom.
It was a great party and I can't wait to get together with these fun people soon!
In other random "I'm back on the blog news":
- There's one day left to win free entry to the Women's Half in St. Petersburg
- Newsworthy - Airlines to cut legroom
- Isaac? Me thinks there's a storm coming!!!
Don't forget to check back this afternoon for a Mexico recap and tomorrow for a new Fit2Flex at home workout!

What type of pizza would you bring to a pizza party?

Love and amore,
Carissa & Kyle
