Bon Bon Fine Chocolate Cafe

Have you ever stumbled across a wonderfully unique, delicious restaurant purely by chance?

Sunday I found my first "super-cute-omg-I love it" cafe in Sydney.

I started the morning with uber-exciting oatmeal in my room and I headed to the Apple store in Sydney to address my MacBook charging issues.  I was second in line when the store opened and the wonderful  people at Apple looked at my old (classic I believe they called it) computer. A new charger has done the trick for now. $89 later I'm back online and happy to be able to Skype with my Kyle again.

After my Mac adventure I was freezing cold (it is winter here) and in search of coffee.  I had plenty of time before my TV show tonight, so I wandered in search of a cute coffee place.  A lot of cafes were outside, but that was too chilly for my Florida blood.

I was near George St. in Downtown Sydney and walked into a gorgeous shopping area.  Stunning.
I was drawn to the Chocolate Bon Bon cafe for the beautiful decor and the promise of coffee and soup.
The cafe was downstairs and had a wonderfully European feel.
I started with a soy chai tea latte that was exquisitely crafted.
Since it was early for a full lunch I ordered sweet potato soup (that was made without cream). It was filling and warm.  I ate my lunch slowly and enjoyed every bite.  I even ate the bread and butter, which is something I would never do at home.  I'm all about a healthy life in moderation. Today that was my treat and it was amazing.  A delicious lunch in a beautiful spot.
The cafe is also a chocolate store that I may or may not need to stop by again. Wink, wink.

Around noon I hit the gym for a 5.6k on the treadmill. The treadmill is in kilometers and kilometers per hour.  Super confusing for me.  Is there an app for that?

I loathe the treadmill and I struggled through the short 3 mile run.  Any sweat, however is a good sweat. Do you struggle to run inside? It's just very hard for me.

The rest of my night will be spent with another trip to the TV studio to chat about treadmills and walking to lose weight.

What's the last unexpected restaurant gem you found?

Love and missing my other half,
Carissa & Kyle
