5 Questions with Adventures with Alexandra

Welcome to Saturday and this week's edition of 5 questions with...
Today's post features Alec of Adventures with Alexandra.

I chose to feature Alec today because we are on a major adventure this weekend together in Colorado at the Fitness & Health Bloggers Conference. And we're roomies!

She's also an awesome FitFluential blogger AND today is her 1 year Blog-versary!  It's a big weekend for that little lady!

Here's the 411 on Alec:

Alec is a 25 year old Georgia peach and writer for Adventures with Alexandra.  

Her blog topics range in everything from having princesses as pen pals to her travels.  Most recently, her blog has become more fitness and health focused as she has been trying to eat better and get fit.  She has completed numerous races over the last few years, but her biggest challenge is yet to come - her first full marathon in January 2013.  Can she do it?  Follow along with her on her blogFacebookTwitterYouTubePinterest and Daily Mile to find out!

Fit2Flex 5 Questions:
1. Why did you start blogging?
I started blogging just to write about things I like.  I don't think I had a purpose at the time.  I also had only one reader - my friend, Jessica!  It has kind of snowballed into a really fun hobby for me this past year.  I realized the more I put into it, the more I got out of it.  In addition, the more I got out of it, the more I wanted to put into it.  It is definitely like a second job for me now (minus the income!) - blogging takes time and creativity.  My blog has changed so much just in the past year.  It's neat to see the "transformation".

2. What is your most popular blog post?
Randomly enough, my post popular post is my Girl Crush post on Blake Lively.  My Girl Crush series includes celebrities I think are not only gorgeous and talented but are also good role models (in my opinion).  They range from Kate Middleton to Lauren Conrad to Emma Watson and more.

3. What post are you most proud of?
I am probably most proud of my post - "This Isn't Sweat, It's Liquid Awesome".  It is a recap of the WDW Princess Half Marathon 2012.  I'm more proud of my accomplishments that day than of the actual post though.  Not only did I complete the Disney Coast to Coast Challenge, but I also beat my time from the Disneyland Tinkerbell Half 2012 by 10 minutes and my time from the WDW Princess Half 2011 by 40 minutes!  It was a good day!

4. What is your favorite healthy treat?
 I love fresh fruits of all kinds (except for melon - love watermelon though!).  Food is definitely my weakness in my health and fitness journey.  I love candy, cookies, brownies, ice cream etc. and baking is one of my favorite hobbies!  I used to be able to eat it all and then - hello, mid-twenties and goodbye, awesome metabolism.

5. What is a typical Saturday like for you?
A typical Saturday is pretty low key for me.  During the day, I like to read, catch up on my to-do list, blog, go to the pool, etc.  Most recently, it is the day I complete my long runs for my marathon training.  Usually my boyfriend and I will have a chill night in.  He enjoys cooking especially lasagna, stuffed shells and fish.  Bonus for me!  We have really enjoyed Netflix.  We have a "couples show" that we don't watch without the other.  Currently, our show is Lie To Me, but we only have a handful of episodes left.  Any suggestions?
