The Avengers

If you can't tell Kyle & I have a thing for Superheroes.

On our second date we went to see The Dark Knight and for our third date we watched Batman Begins.  Classics.
Last night we saw The Avengers and really enjoyed it.

I voted to go to the 6pm showing to avoid crowds (I'm so lame). Before we went we had a very early dinner of his & her smoothies.
I opted for a filling smoothie bowl consisting of soy milk, frozen strawberries, spinach, GAT chocolate prolein, and a crunchy granola topping.

The movie was free thanks to a gift from a client of Kyle's.  The gift also came with a free small popcorn.  If it's free, it doesn't have calories, so I enjoyed the salty goodness. Sans butter.
I really liked the movie. I'm more a fan of the "story" than the "action", but there was plenty of nice things to look at during the film....ahem....if you know what I mean.

I, however, firmly stand on my opinion that Kyle has bigger guns than Thor.  Fact.

Have I shared with you guys how interesting scary our backyard has become?

If you don't like "critters" you might want to stop reading. Go do 20 push-ups and think about butterflies.
First of all we have a black snake who has made their daytime hunting spot the corner of my patio. "He/she" is safely outside our covered patio but it gives me the heebie-jeebies.  I blogged about said snake before.

It gets worse.
Last night a lizard found it's way into the house.  It was promptly escorted outside, tail-less, looking a little worse for wear.  Minnie thought she had a new friend.
However my favorite (and I'm being sarcastic) backyard encounter this week was with this:

Yup. I shudder just typing this.
I was finally getting around to potting some herbs that Grandmother gave us for Mother's Day. Basil, cilantro, and curly parsley.
I was filling my watering can that I (a genius) left outside. I always leave it outside.  Not a good idea.
I filled it up with the hose and I just happened to see something crawling on the inside lip.
You can't mistake that red hourglass.  YUCK!
Currently she is still in the abandoned watering can....I think......I don't know what to do!

In conclusion, I like superheroes.  I do not like spiders, snakes, or lizards.  Thank you.
