Mattie is a FitFluential Ambassador and healthy blogger living in the New England area. She is a marathoner and was a Division I collegiate skier. Pretty impressive!

1. Why did you start blogging?
1. Why did you start blogging?
I started blogging last fall after I ran my first marathon. I was frustrated with myself because I had trained decent but my diet and nutrition was terrible leading up to the race. I ended up running the marathon really well and actually qualifying for Boston! But, after the race I felt annoyed because I knew I could have done better and I knew I deserved better.
I created my blog to help me find a place where I can be comfortable and confident in the person I am (hence the name). A lot of what I do everyday revolves around fitness so I wanted to write a blog to hold myself accountable for my training, nutrition, and lifestyle. Now, my blog has turned into much more than that and I couldn't be happier. I love sharing my life and all of it's ups and downs with people who have similar interests and hobbies. I mean, when it comes down to it, I think we are all trying to be a little more comfortable and confident!
2. What is your most popular blog post?

3. What post are you most proud of?
I am really proud of completing my first marathon last October. So many great things came out of it, like my blog! It took a lot of time, resilience and motivation to finish a marathon. I can not wait to do more races.
4. What is your favorite healthy treat?
My go-to snack is an apple with natural peanut butter. The sweet and salty gets me every time.
5. What is a typical Saturday like for you?
In the winter, my Saturday's are filled with skiing and coaching young ski racers. Now that the winter is over, I am excited to spend some time relaxing. However, that never lasts long, so I am sure my typical Saturday over the summer will consist of waking up, going for a long run, eating a delicious healthy breakfast and going to the beach! I am excited for some sunshine.
