Easter BBQ

Apparently Kyle & I have a new tradition.  We watch football documentaries on Easter.  Last year it was "Year of the Quarterback" and now we're are watching "30 for 30" about the Miami Hurricanes.  Is that random?

We had a GREAT Easter brunch and egg hunt here....but we had a great holiday Saturday too and I thought you might want to hear about that too!

Saturday we were invited by our friends and Kyle's clients to an Easter BBQ at their gorgeous home.  Before the BBQ we stopped by the ballpark to watch their older son play Little League baseball.
Kyle had a major flashback at the game. He was an All-Star baseball player as a kid.  Really...take a look:
After the game we headed over to Ashley & Michael's house for the BBQ. They are amazing hosts and have had us over for several great events before (like our Mud Run).
Love this centerpiece!
Overall there were close to 40 people there and 15+ kids.
We enjoyed a delicious BBQ spread.  BBQ chicken wings, ribs, and hot dogs were served alongside a plethora of delicious Southern sides. I was a big fan of the three bean salad and something called "Red Neck caviar". I'll need to find the recipe, but there were beans and corn...and it was yummy!
Let's play a fun game....can you guess whose plate is whose?
It's pretty easy!
There was also a delicious and beautiful lamb cake for dessert. Ashley makes amazing cakes and cupcakes! (pssst - check out Cupcake Kisses)
The kids got to enjoy a massive Easter Egg hunt!
Kyle helped hide them and then he pulled out some pretty risky moves to help Cole get some hard to reach eggs.

It was a wonderful day!
By the way, a major eating overhaul is coming Monday.  Sweet and processed foods be warned!

Love and lakeside beauty,
Carissa & Kyle
