New Kitten!

Please help us welcome our new baby....Minnie Bealert!
Minnie is gray, striped, tabby little girl who is as sweet as they come!
Although I've had cats my whole l life, I've never had a kitten.  I'm learning about being playful and how to pull a good string.
Minnie was rescued from Pet Rescue by Judy.  Minnie and her 4 brothers were dumped at construction site when they were about 3 weeks old.  Judy took them in ,and so far all but 1 of them have been adopted.
If you are looking for a pet PLEASE rescue one.  There are so many amazing animals that need to be loved and cared for.  Pet Rescue by Judy and A Better Life pet rescue are two I recommend here in Orlando.
We lucked out with Minnie, because she has always been fostered and was never in a shelter. We read the bios of all the cats online and we were drawn to Minnie.  We wanted someone sweet for Polie and I felt like a girl was a good match so Polie wouldn't be intimidated.
Minnie is also very good with humans since she was bottle fed when she was very small. She purrs nonstop and kneads a lot.  Anyone with tips on clipping claws? :)
I wasn't quite ready for a kitten yet, because I am still grieving over losing Asia. However Polie, our sweet black cat, has never been an only cat.  She was doing okay, but somedays she just seemed lonely.  I want Polie to have a friend and a kitten to keep her young.  I hope she gets along with Minnie.  We haven't "introduced" them yet. I think it will happen today, but we wanted to give Minnie time to adjust and Polie time to "sniff" out what was going on.
Look Mom- I'm blogging!
I'm off to play and get sweet Minnie kisses!
psst- I typed this whole post listening to Christmas music! :) heehee

Love and whiskers,

  1. I love kittens. Both of the cats I have had (first one at age 10) were about 6 weeks old when I adopted them. They are so much fun, but man where does the energy come from? I cant wait to meet her...

  2. She is adorable! I love kittens :) I would love another cat or kitten but our cat is not too friendly and I am scared she would not welcome a new addition. haha

  4. Claw Clipping Tips: Use regular fingernail clippers, they are easier to handle than the pet clippers. Don't make it a big deal. If you just treat it like something normal that happens, the cat will be less anxious about it. Don't cut too deep, the quick of the nail hurts and bleeds like crazy when it's cut. Better to cut just the tips and have to do it more often than to cut the quick and make them think it will always hurt. She looks like a sweetie!
