I love coupons

Well I didn't love coupons as I was cutting millions out yesterday, but when I got this on my receipt at Target I sure did LOVE coupons again!
And now that I'm home and my groceries and goodies are put away I'm on the prowl for more coupons.  It's addicting, but it sure does save money.

If you want to coupon, check out my beginner's guide to couponing.
I've been trying to "coach" my friend Amber, so I hope you're sticking with it girl!
Here are this week's coupon tips:

  • Always bring all your coupons to the store. You never know when you'll run into a deal. I got pasta and a jar of sauce for 50 cents today and 50 cent foil.
  • You CAN be brand loyal!  I don't buy every crazy deal that I see.  I still like the brands I like, however I'm more in tune to what those items typically cost and I know when to buy if they're discounted.  Today I got Crest 3D white toothpaste for $1.50.
  • You CAN get healthy items.  Go online to the websites of items you like.  They usually have email alerts and using your coupon email you can sign up.  Today I had a coupon for Driscoll's berries, which is a rare produce coupon. Also currently there's a coupon on Smartsource for $1 the chicken Target carries.
  • Don't get frustrated.  Some weeks are great coupon weeks and some aren't.  You get better the more you coupon and believe me, I've had my share of embarrassing "I don't think it should cost that much" moments.
  • Set out a "coupon time". I give myself about an hour on Thursday afternoons to organize my coupons.  If I have extra time I look for more, but that's sufficient to get my typical $30-$50 savings.
As always please send me any couponing questions!
If I had thumbs I'd help you Mom.
Today is gorgeous here in Central Florida.  I have a killer at home plyo workout planned and then Kyle and I are headed out for Indian food using a Groupon we got.
Knowing my dinner I made sure to have a very clean lunch of scrambled eggs, Morningstar sausage, Udi's Gluten-Free bread, and natural applesauce.

  1. I love coupons too! Haven't mastered the amount of savings you just nabbed though...

Where do you find the best 'healthy foods' coupons?
