We may seem all over the board on our college football loyalties. You may see a "Go Noles" on FB, a Gator cupcake message on Twitter, and a USF pic on our wall. Just for the sake of clarity; let me break it down for ya.
Carissa:
I started my college career at Florida State.
Two years later I transferred to the University of Central Florida to work at Disney and graduated from UCF.
I root for the Noles. This brings controversy, but I don't root for UCF. I wear garnet with my gold.
Winner: SEMINOLES
Kyle:
My sweet husband grew up in Orlando a HUGE Gator fan.
He graduated from the University of South Florida and LOVES his USF Bulls.
When USF played Florida - he was all Bulls. But there's a lot of Blue and Orange love still in him. He's wearing a Gator shirt for the first time in years today. Only he's not changing into it until after the USF game.
Winner: BULLS
As a Seminole, I was programmed to hate the Gators. And a part of me still does, but I've become soft. Tebow kinda turned me around and I feel our kids have a 90% chance of going to Florida. I'm not wearing on Gator gear anytime soon, but I will play nice and make blue and orange cupcakes.
The only teams not getting any love in this household:
The U. No Ponzi schemes here.
What are your college football loyalties?
Love and "first downs",
Carissa & Kyle

Woo-hoo -- go Noles!
ReplyDeleteBoth my hubby and I graduated from FSU. Me in 2000 and 2001 and him in 2004. I will be sad if my kids decide to go to UF, but it IS a good school so I wouldn't be able to hold it against them :) Orlando is very pro-UF!
It's going to be a good football season this year!!
