Yucky run

Some runs are good.  Some runs are bad.  Some run are slow; so slow I get mad.  Some runs are fast. Some runs are hot.  Some runs just hurt.  Some runs do not. Today's run was yucky.
Old pic- morning run in JAX before Freedom 8k
Blame it on the humidity.  Blame it on the PF Changs I had last night....or the red wine.  Blame it on my phone/Pandora/Runkeeper for dying midrun.  Blame it on whomeever but it was just a yucky run.

I did it.  I pushed through and I'm glad I did.  It just won't go down in history as the "world's greatest morning run."

Here's what my run looked like:
- 5 min warm up
- 7 min jog
- 1 min 75% stride, followed by 1 min jog x 5
- 4 min jog
- 3 min of streetlight sprints - sprint to the next streetlight, jog to the next streetlight, sprint, jog, ect...

I think the total was about 3 miles.  Who really knows???  Not my runkeeper!

Now I'm off to enjoy some overnight oats that I magically prepped last night and get ready for Kyle's cousins engagement party!

Love and sluggish legs,
Carissa & Kyle

ps- Hey Virginia friends, if you're looking for a race to sign up for this fall check out the Freedom Half Marathon in Norfolk.  There's a half and a 5k on Veterans Day weekend and I'll be there hosting!  :)
