2 a days....

What does the phrase "two a days" make you think of?


Possibly an MTV show.  I get that.


To me it makes me think of football.  And it gets me fired up.  We love football and I love the intensity that the elite players train with. Lights Out? Shawn Merriman?  Come on...Will you protect this HOUSE!  You love it!


Last year Under Armour came out with a women's shirt that said....you guessed it..."I love 2 a days".  I wanted it.  I never got it.  I couldn't find it.  Bummer.


And then last Friday night, as if it were waiting for me all along, I found said shirt at Sports Authority. And it was on sale!  Not just on sale it was $10.  For Under Armour?  Must have been meant to be!


Today I tried to take that philosophy to the max and get in my two a day.  I did a full body workout this afternoon with Kyle.  Then once Kyle got off work we ran some short sprints.


I LOVE 2 a days.
I love 2 a days?
Here's our short sprint:
6 min warm up
30 second sprint
90 second recover
15 second sprint
45 second recover

30 second sprint
90 second recover
15 second sprint
45 second recover
3 min cool down

I'm happy to say that I beat smoked Kyle!  I'm thinking he needs some more sprints before the Mud Bash on the 18th!  But he still has bigger muscles than me....thank goodness! :)

I do NOT love 2 a days.
I may not max out "two a days" everyday, but I think it's a good idea when you're trying to get some intensity back into your workout or to beat a plateau.

Side note:  before we ran...I think Kyle was tying his shoe....I decided to take those 15 seconds and weed our bushes.  I got stung/pricked by something and my finger turned red and started to swell.  I am a real American genius sometimes.
